Editorial standards

What a figure on this site has to satisfy before it is published, where it comes from, and what happens when it turns out to be wrong.

01 — Process

How a page here is made

Four steps. A standards page that only lists principles cannot be checked; a process can be held against any page on the site.

  1. 01 First

    Sourced

Regulatory and status claims come from OJK, Bank Indonesia and ministry announcements. Price bands come from published listings or desk transactions. Operational figures come from named operators.

  2. 02 Always

    Dated

Every figure carries the date it was true. A number without a date is a claim, not a fact, and Indonesian thresholds and fees move often enough that the distinction is not pedantry.

  3. 03 Where it matters

    Attributed

Where a figure comes from a network partner with a commercial interest in it, the page says so. Where it is a developer's projection rather than an observed outcome, the page labels it as a projection.

  4. 04 Before publishing

    Bounded

Anything that would be relied on as legal, tax or licensing advice is removed and replaced with a referral. The test is whether a reader could act on it without a licensed professional — if yes, it does not belong here.

Pages are revised when the underlying position changes, not on a schedule, and the review date on each page is the date it was last checked rather than the date it was last touched.

The standards themselves

Accuracy
Claims are grounded in primary sources — regulator publications, ministry statements, published listings and direct operator data. General-reference encyclopaedias are not treated as authoritative for regulatory or financial claims
Uncertainty
Where something is not settled, the page says it is not settled. The most useful sentence on a page about an unfinished regulatory framework is usually the one admitting what is missing
Ranges over points
Estimates are published as bands with what moves them, not as single figures. A band is the honest shape of a market price; a point implies a precision that does not exist
Disclosure
This desk sells coordination services and works within a commercial network. Where that creates an interest in what a page says, the page discloses it rather than relying on this one to have been read
No guarantees
No return, approval, timeline or outcome is promised anywhere on this site. Any figure describing performance is a published or observed range, never a projection offered as an expectation
Corrections
Email the desk. Verified errors are corrected and the page's review date is updated. Substantive corrections — a changed figure or a reversed conclusion — are noted on the page rather than made quietly
Independence
Not affiliated with the Government of Indonesia, OJK, Bank Indonesia, or any official IFC or KEK authority. Nothing here is an official statement about the zone or its rules

Found something wrong?

Send the page and the figure you are disputing, with a source if you have one. Verified errors get corrected and dated. That is a genuinely useful thing to receive, and it does not go into a queue.
